Americanization with a 'z'

Although I tend to deliberately wind people up by claiming the reverse, I think the Americanisation of the English language has made the language easier to spell and pronounce. Except maybe for your overuse of 'Z' in words.

However, here are todays slight annoyances: 'It was very fun' and 'It was so fun'. Those are nails down the blackboard to me.

You? Does anyone have any annoying 'English-isms'?

Annoying English-isms... I'd have to think about it.

I work for a company based in Denmark, and all of our literature from them has NO Z's. Organise, and strategise... It's gotten so that now when I see organiZe, I think it's wrong!

I write 'strategise' and wonder if i can get away with it, or if someone will just think I'm a crap speller! The 'Z' in the middle of a word kind hurts my eyes, but I'm in America, so I feel I should embrace the Zed (or Zee) :)
